Nickel Thiopyrophosphite, Ni2P2S6

Nickel Thiopyrophosphite, Ni2P2S6, may be obtained by heating nickel for forty hours with sulphur and phosphorus in sealed tubes. It forms brilliant grey hexagonal crystals of density 2.4. They are very resistant to acid attack, even to nitrohydrochloric acid.
